Jesuit Studies (Adv Cert)

This hybrid program offers both on-campus and online coursework.


The advanced certificate in Jesuit studies offers Jesuit university, secondary school, parish, and chaplain employees and other interested parties an in-depth introduction to the history, spirituality, pedagogy, and multiple contexts pertinent to the burgeoning academic field of Jesuit studies. In addition to online coursework, students in the program participate in a summer residential program on campus. Coursework is characterized by lectures, readings, presentations, and research/reflection papers.

Students who complete this advanced certificate and are later admitted to the M.A. in Christian Spirituality may apply the credits earned as part of the advanced certificate towards the M.A. degree.
