Jesuit Studies (Adv Cert)
This hybrid program offers both on-campus and online coursework.
The advanced certificate in Jesuit studies offers Jesuit university, secondary school, parish, and chaplain employees and other interested parties an in-depth introduction to the history, spirituality, pedagogy, and multiple contexts pertinent to the burgeoning academic field of Jesuit studies. In addition to online coursework, students in the program participate in a summer residential program on campus. Coursework is characterized by lectures, readings, presentations, and research/reflection papers.

Students will articulate a well rounded knowledge and critical appropriation of Jesuit Spirituality and the Catholic intellectual tradition.

Students will use tools of literary, cultural, historical, and social analysis in the interpretation of various cultures and their relationship to the Christian tradition.
