Creative and Social Design Minor

The creative and social design minor invites students to explore the intersection of artistic practice, community engagement, and social justice. Rooted in both theatre and visual arts, the minor foregrounds embodied, image-based, and performative modes of expression that respond to real-world issues. It provides students with tools to become ethically grounded cultural workers, artists who are collaborators, civic participants, and advocates for change.

This interdisciplinary minor is ideal for students interested in public-facing creative work that interrogates systems of power, amplifies marginalized voices, and uses storytelling as a tool for transformation.
