Investor Relations (M.S.)

This program is no longer accepting students.

The field of investor relations (IR) is multidisciplinary at heart, requiring mastery of everything from media relations to finance and accounting to law. The Gabelli School’s 39-credit Master of Science in Investor Relations (MSIR) program tackles all of these topics and more in 16 months of roughly every-other-weekend classes.

How do we do it? By bringing in industry experts in each discipline who teach theory and applied skills drawn from their own experiences in the corporate world. It’s an approach that’s only possible when your campus is located in the heart of Manhattan, close to Wall Street, the New York Stock Exchange, and Nasdaq.

The MSIR curriculum covers:

  • Basic skills in financial accounting, financial theory, and investment practices, as well as issues surrounding the regulatory environment
  • Information technologies that support and influence investor relations
  • Clear and effective business communication, including the use of media
  • Business ethics, legal considerations, and strategic relationship management

The Gabelli School MSIR degree is designed to accommodate the schedules of working professionals. The cohort-based program meets only on Saturdays and Sundays, no more than twice a month, for only 16 months.
